STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT

Lucas Arts
Pandemis
Rated Teen

This is a game that takes place in the future where you can choose playing singleplayer, co-op with a friend on splitscreen, or play it as an massive multiplayer online with people from all over the nation.. This was a hit game for the playstaion two when it first came out and Lucas Arts have made more games that are sequals based on this game.

If you choose to play the game mode you can chose betweeen historical campaign which is playing the old star wars chracters and plantes or the other two options which are galactic conquest or instant action. Galactic conquest is when you try to take over the galaxy and instant action is that they just place you in a map of your choosing and you can choose which era to play in such as clone wars or others.

As you play the game you can chose between 4 different characters. These characters are either pilots, arc troopers, clone trooper, Jet trooper, or a sniper. If you choose to play the more recent star war characters then you will be able to use there abilities and different weapons. These button are very good and are similiar to Socoms buttons. You can also operate vehicles in this game such as fighter planes and other neat vehicles in which Lucas has created.

Notes,

This game was released in  2004

You can choose between 1st or 3rd person POV.

This was a good and exciting co-op game to play with a friend back when it first came out. This game is a very arcade like feel to it. You can choose between 2 male characters or 2 female characters. Fighting Force does not have online play and it is a short but hard game if you do not use team work. Since it is a platstaion one game the graphics are not that good but is entertaining to play with 22 different stages and 7 levels.

There are crime bosses to fight and there are weapons in which you can get such as rocket launchers, pistols, shotguns, axes, crowbars, and other things. To find weapons you either kill an enemy and press the action button over the weapon to get it or beat up a coke machine and get a crow bar from the machine and use that as a weapon or get a coke can and drink that to regain health.

Above is a link to the first level of Fighting Force. This is a walk through of the first level. You play as a male cop known as Hawk. The camera angle in this game is very bad and the controls are very basic. This is kinda what you expect for an older game though. The game is a 3D game and there is really no story mode other than defeating all the bad guys.

Fighting Force was released in 1998 Core

The Getaway

THE GETWAY
SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMEN AMERICA
DIRECTED BY BRENDAN MCNAMARA

This is a great RPG wear you play both good and bad. You play as an ex gangsta Mark Hammmond and a police officer, Frank Carter. These two are both tied up in the simular situation dealing with the same Head Gangsta, Charlie Jolson, who is not only trying to ruin there lives, but take over the city as well.

The game starts out as Mark Hammond left the gangster lifestyle in order to raise his son and be with his wife. Well Charlie Jolson did not like this so he sent out his men to capture his son. In the process of this, Mark Hammond's wife was killed so Mark was in a firey anger to get his son back and kill all those who stop him including his own friends.

On the other spectrum you play as a cop, Frank Carter, who is trying to stop crime in his city and to bring down Charlie Jolson. He eventually finds out Marks story and they pair up along with other people along  the way to defeat Charlie Jolson and the other gangs that get dragged into the maddness that goes on within this game. This game is a great RPG that is open game play> if you like any of the games in the GTA series then this is the game for you. It is an open relm where you can do the mission or rome the streets.

The controls for the game are basic and are not hard to get used to. They are basic too other shooters as R1 is the auro lock on button and you hit the action button to shoot. The healing process is different which makes this game very likeable because it is different from other games. When you heal you do not get a health pack or eat somthing to get your health bar up. In this you do not have a health bar. When you are hurting or injured you can lean upon a car or wall until your character is done then he is healed. Your outfit will be bloodstained when u are injured and u will walk slower. You are healthy when you have clean cloths and have good stamina.

NHL 2001

NHL 2001
2000 Electronic Arts Inc.
EA Sports

This is the first official sport game that was on the market for the Playstation 2. On a personal level, this was also one of my first Playstation 2 games. This is a sport game that is rated E for everyone and the buttons take a little while to get used to but is a pretty basic game with decent graphics. It is a fun game to play with or against a friend.

As you play you can pick any team you want and start a season, or you can play an exabition game against the computer or a friend. Teams include the normal NHL teams and also includes nations such as sweden, turkey, canada, team U.S.A, germany, and many more. It has a basic setup with a good soundtrack of music and exciting fighting in which you can get in during the game once tensions brews between teams and players.

Dead to Rights 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmRCabZRVLU

This is the intro trailer to Dead to Rights 2 and shows a little of what the game is about. There is a lot of action and adventure especiallay since you are with your K-9 parntner Shadow the dog. The point of the game is to find a judge that has been kidinapped by city thugs. You ae Jack Slate, a badass city cop who will break the rules to find out who took the judge, who is also his friend.

The buttons to this game are very simple but the angle of the game can really mess you up some times. The weapons are good and you run out of ammo quick. You can also hit a button to slow down time like in The Matrix. It is a good way to get high accuracy and to stay alive a little longer and figure out how to get out of a tough situation. Also the use of your dog shadow is good to get enemys at far away places.

This 3rd person shooter has a very action aracde type feel to it and is a good game to play that really sucks you into it. It is straight action and run and gun with a story that will leave you pondering on what will happen next and see if Jack Slate can really safe his friends and get his life back together.

SOCOM 2: U.S. NAVY SEAL's

SOCOM II: U.S. NAVY S.E.A.L.'s

The intro to this game sets the mood of what will be going on in this 3rd person shooter. The music and the cutscenes from the actual gme play gets you really excited and pumped up to get right in and play the game.

This clip shows all of the maps and gameplay in single player mode and not online. Some of the maps you see here are also online but tactics used may be different depending on which gameplay you use. In the campaign mode you are ranked on how well you did after you finish the mission. You have an overall letter grade at the end of each mission such as an A for doing good and an F for faling the mission. You are graded on teamwork, stealth, and completion of the mission such as primary and secondary objectives.
